Privacy Policy

The personal information of the customer is information that is entrusted to CAD CENTER CORPORATION (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) with a specific purpose by the will of the customer him or herself, and we recognize that managing this personal information safely and using it by respecting the will of the customer is an important issue of management. Based on this recognition, starting with laws related to the protection of personal information (full enforcement on April 1, 2005, hereinafter referred to as the “Personal Information Protection Law”), the Company will fulfill the duties of various laws and the guidelines of administrative bodies of competent authorities, and establish policies related to the handling of personal information as the following. The Company will work toward the appropriate handling of personal information entrusted to us by the customer.

1. [What is Personal Information?]

“Personal information” refers to information that can identify an individual such as name (full name), e-mail address, place of work/name of school, department, postal code, address, telephone number, and fax number. Simultaneously, it refers to information in writing or saved on various information equipment (media and data communication equipment including computers, various servers, terminals, and CD-ROM) that can be stored in writing.

2. [Purpose of Use of Personal Information]

Under the Personal Information Protection Law, regarding the personal information acquired by the Company, it states that designated matters such as the purpose of use should be publicized or be known to the person in question. The purpose of use of the Company is as follows. When acquiring personal information directly from the person in question in writing, the Company will clarify the purpose of use each time. When acquiring personal information directly or indirectly in other cases, it will be handled within the scope of the purpose of use mentioned below.

  • • Sales of products/provision of services within the operational activities of the Company.
  • • Promotional activities of sales within the operational activities of the Company.
    (This includes guidance of products, services, events, and exhibitions through e-mail and direct mail, and surveys.)
  • • Customer support such as after service within the operational activities of the Company.
  • • The provision of information to shareholders and investors in IR activities and shareholder and stock management.
  • • Contact needed for estimates and purchases of related equipment with a customer.
  • • Contact needed for various inquiries and requesting documents.
  • • Examination and decision of employment and human resource management.
  • • Other cases which are permitted by law.

[In Gathering/Use of Personal Information]

When the customer uses the website of the Company and other related websites, generally, there is no need to provide personal information. However, for events/seminars, campaigns, inquiries, requesting documents, or the use of services, there are cases where the Company asks for the customer’s personal information. The personal information provided to the Company will be managed appropriately.

When having the customer provide his or her personal information, the Company will clarify its purpose beforehand, and use the information exclusively within the scope of the purpose. Once the purpose of use is completed and it is determined that the information is reasonably unnecessary, the personal information provided will be disposed of appropriately.

In the event of using the customer’s personal information going beyond the scope of the purpose clarified when the personal information was provided to the Company from the customer, its purpose will be notified to the customer beforehand. If the customer does not agree with the new purpose, the customer may choose to reject further use depending on his or her judgement.

If the customers does not wish to provide personal information, it is possible not to provide personal information depending on his or her judgement. However, please note that if the personal information is essential in providing a service, there are cases where the service in question cannot be provided.

[About Management/Protection of Personal Information]

The Company strives to maintain precise/up-to-date content within the scope of the purpose of use regarding the entrusted personal information, and in order to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, falsification, loss, and damage, we have safety management measures in place which are tailored to the standards of the times and make adjustments accordingly.

Within the necessary scope to achieve the purpose of use, there are cases where the Company entrusts the handling of the entrusted personal information to a third party. After confirming that these third parties have sufficient security standards in place and through contracts, the necessary and appropriate supervision is conducted.

[Not Providing Personal Information to a Third Party]

Excluding the following cases, the Company will not provide the personal information of the customer to a third party.

  • • If the customer agrees to provide his or her personal information to a third party.
  • • When entrusting a contracted business within the necessary scope to provide the services of the Company.
  • • Based on various laws, or if administrative bodies such as the police demand the the provision of personal information according to the law.

[Disclosure of Personal Information]

If the customer requests the disclosure of personal information him or herself, based on the Personal Information Protection Law, the personal information of the customer in question will be disclosed after possessing the information for the designated period of time and after necessary investigation without delay. It will be handled through the designated procedures of the Company excluding the following cases.

  • • If there is a risk of harming the life, limb, property, or other rights and interests of the customer or a third party.
  • • If there is a risk of significant hindrance to the operations of the Company.
  • • If the disclosure violates various laws.

[About Disclosure/Revision/Addition/Deletion/Suspension of Personal Information]

If the customer desires the disclosure/revision/addition/deletion (hereinafter referred to as “Disclosure”) of the personal information held by the Company, based on the Personal Information Protection Law, the personal information of the said customer will be disclosed after possessing the information for the designated period of time and after necessary investigation without delay.

[Procedure of Disclosure/Revision/Addition/Deletion/Suspension of Personal Information]

Based on the Personal Information Protection Law, regarding the personal information of the said customer possessed for a designated period of time, if there is a request for disclosure, the “identity” of the person in question must be confirmed, and once his or her “identity” is confirmed, it will be disclosed by documents sent through the mail.

Furthermore, if the Company determines that the “identity” of the person cannot be confirmed with the documents sent to the Company, the request for disclosure cannot be met. In addition, please note that the documents sent to the Company when requesting the disclosure will not be returned.
